General
Our summer program is for any student going into 3rd-8th grade (for the 2026-2027 school year).
There is a one time fee of $200 per child. This includes a show t-shirt, the cost of theatrical rights, the use of our facility, over 25 hours of professional instruction, and two live performances. We work hard to keep the program as affordable as possible.
Practices begin on Tuesday, May 26, and continue every Tuesday through Friday until our shows on June 24th and 25th. Each practice will be from 9 am - noon. A full calendar is attached.
Students must be registered prior to the parent meeting on May 14. The parent meeting will take place at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 14 at Pendleton Christian Church.
Students need to select a part they would like to audition for, and on the audition page, rehearse the lines and song for that character. For auditions, they will be singing with the instrumental track, "karaoke" style. While it is not mandatory to have the lines memorized, if your student is hoping for a lead role, it is highly highly recommended. If they are hoping to be a member of the ensemble and not a lead role, then they'll pick a character from the "ensemble" set of lines (those are called sides) and sing the song listed.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 16. Students will sign-up for their specific time when they register.
Students are allowed to miss up to five planned days and still be in the program. Specific dates you're missing can be relayed in the registration process.
There are no cuts. Every student who registers will have a part in the show!
Absolutely! Our schedule will look different that week to ensure anyone interested can still attend. We will practice offsite from noon to two. More specifics will be given at the parent meeting.
Please contact Tessa Denen at SpotlightStudiosYT@gmail.com to try and arrange an audition date. She will happily work something out with you.
